New York City and its people have a long history of heroism and resilience. In this video I produced for the highly respected non-profit Village Preservation, I take you on a special bike tour that highlights downtown public art and landmarks that honor our past and resonate with our times today. As a 32-year resident of the West Village, I really enjoyed this! However, I can't believe that neither you nor Michelle Young noted that The Jane Street Hotel was the home for the original off-Broadway production of HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH. I saw that production at least a dozen times (good to be friends with the Company Manager!), including seeing every single actor who portrayed Hedwig - including the best replacement for JCM (Michael Cerveris) and the worst (Ally Sheedy - ugh! she was so terrible!). Nonetheless, this was a terrific piece! Thank you!

Hi, Robert! Just replied, but not sure it went through. Michelle did indeed discuss "Hedwig!" Our interview was nearly 30 minutes long and she provided so many interesting tidbits, including how Jane Hotel owner Eric Goode is also the director of "Tiger King." Unfortunately, I needed to be judicious about what I included in the video based on the overall theme and I also needed to keep the time in mind. The Jane Hotel could have been its own video it has so much colorful history. I am so glad you enjoyed the video and I really appreciate your comment!
